A Wrinkle in Time

A Wrinkle in Time - Madeleine L'Engle I liked it, but there were a few things that bothered me. Like how the characters occasionally summed up the action to each other, even though both characters would know what had happened, and there'd be no need to sum it up - thus doing it purely for the reader, which I find annoying. It can, and has been, be done better. Also, there seemingly random incidents where the characters would launch off into ticking of knowledge. Great artists, the periodic table. Yes, we get it, they are smart, but no one lists things in that specific way. Or at least, not people I know. So I found it strange. But, I liked the characters otherwise, and the plot was excellent. Really well written overall, despite all the peculiar dialogue going on. I liked that it had a female hero, too. So all in all, three stars.
